Cinema Day 2018

Movie House Cinemas is holding an exclusive event for Cinema Day 2018 that will help dogs without homes around Northern Ireland with a special screening of one of the best-loved family films of all time the Disney classic, The Lady and The Tramp.

On August 27th at 11am, the special screening at Movie House Coleraine aims to get families to come out together to enjoy the magic of film in their local cinema.

There will be no admission charge for the screening – instead Movie House would like people to bring an item for a dog – in exchange for a free cinema ticket. These items must be new and can include food, toys, treats or blankets. Tickets aren’t available online but will be available at the cinema box office on a first come, first served basis.

All items received will be donated to local animal organisations – food and treats will be donated to Mid Antrim Sanctuary and toys and other accessories to Play for Strays.

Before the movie, there will be fun activities that are perfect for kids! Starting from 10am this includes cheek painting and dog-themed arts & crafts. The movie will start at 11am.

Cinema Day celebrates the diversity and scope of film exhibition across Northern Ireland and Movie House has been a part of the local community for more than two decades.

So, bring your family to a great movie and relax with some pup-corn or treats and help out your furry friends.
